Teri Hatcher (from Desparate Housewives) at the Malibu Triathlon... in an Xterra Wetsuit!!!

So great news… Xterra Wetsuits has agreed to sponsor LOST Swimming!!!  After I posted the great sale they had last fall on our website they got a bunch of orders from us (I bought 3 for my kids for Christmas presents because it was such a good deal and I know a few others did too!) and they contacted me and offered to sponsor us!

What this means is that they’ll give us their best pricing on all their wetsuits!  Also, rather than you paying 13% HST, plus S&H, plus duties and customs (they come from San Diego!), you just pay 15% all in to have the wetsuit delivered to your door!

I should also mention that they have a very easy to use website for sizing and picking the right suit.  As most of you know my kids are quite tall and not exactly normal sizing… and we did it all online and all 3 suits fit perfectly!

I’m going to get their logo and link to their site put on our website, but if you want to order a wetsuit, let me know first and I’ll give you he code that gives you the discount… one LOSTie already ordered VECTOR PRO X2 Fullsuit today!

Here is the link to the website and “Sponsored Athlete” pricing that I got for all the LOST members:

... that's my kinda open water swimming!!!

Next articleWinter swimming…
I founded LOST Swimming because I like open water swimming and would like to see it grow and thrive in Lake Ontario. I started as a competitive swimmer as a kid and ended up getting as far as a silver medal at Nationals and going to the Olympic Trials in 1988. But I retired after that, I was sick of swimming. So I got into running marathons and have run over 35 to date, as well as a few ultra marathons, including the Marathon des Sables (7 day, ultra across the Sahara Desert). I also kind of fell into triathlons and have done a handful of Ironman tri's too. This gradually got me back in the water and in 2006 I took the plunge and attempted swimming the English Channel. I didn't quite make it across, but the circle was now complete and after 17 years I was a swimmer again! Although I still do plenty of pool swimming, I now much prefer open water swimming and like to say that open water swimming is to pool swimming, what trail running is to treadmill running! As a result I hope to encourage more people to join me for a dip in Lake Ontario as often as we can!
