So Rob left Port Dalhousie right on schedule! It was a nice night and the water appeared fairly calm with only a few waves. The water was warm too, about 72 degrees. The crews were all organized on the 4 boats. The plan was to sleep while it was dark and let the crew on the zodiac take care of Rob. The pacers are not allowed in the water with Rob until after 5hrs. I just heard that the first pacer, Maisey, is getting organized to get in and pace. He has swam approx 11k now and apparently there is a slight ‘head wind’. Looks to be a beautiful start to the day and I will update as I get news.
Cheers,
Joanne
