Two a bad, bad ladies…

… you may recall from previous posts that Kristina Evelyn (and Zary!) are big into open water swimming in Barbados and have even started two new races there this year… and some of you may have spoken with our ever helpful Xterra Wetsuit rep, Bessy, when you’ve gone to order a new wetsuit… however, I have to tell you that they are not as nice as they may seem!

"This depicts an average day in front of The Barbados Yacht Club (located along Carlisle Bay where our swim will be) where the Flying Fish Masters have their swims!"

Upon reading about our comically cold first dip of the season (see post below!) they both were good enough to bring me up to speed on swimming in Barbados and San Diego… and that’s just mean.  😉

Bessy was telling me about their cold swim in the low 60’s… last January… and somehow they were able to call it a Polar Bear Dip!?!  While Kristina was nice enough to send me a picture (above) of the place where the local Masters swim team, the Flying Fish Masters Swim Team, start and finish their twice weekly swims in Barbados.  Looks okay, but you can never tell the water temp from a picture… probably cold… plus I look at all those clouds!  (um… that’s all I had…).

(big wink, Kristina and Bessy… you know we love ya!)

Cheers,

Rob
