So it is still too cold to venture into Lake O… so I am (and anyone and everyone are welcome to join me!) venturing to Gulliver’s Lake for the first “Pre-season” swim!
I’ll be there tomorrow (rain or shine), Saturday, May 1, 10:00 am and Sunday, May 2, 10:00 am. Go to the “LINKS” tab at the top and you can find the link to Gulliver’s Lake website (#12), with directions, etc. I could have posted it here, but I want everyone to become familiar with this website!
I’m hoping to go for 1 -2 hours, depending on water temp. I spoke to them and they have no idea what the temp is, I would imagine it will be high 50’s to low 60’s. I’m hoping to go “naked”, as I need the cold water training to get acclimatized for my upcoming Manahattan Island Marathon Swim on June 12… but I may have to wimp out and use a wetsuit, if it is really cold.
Not sure when we’ll be in Lake O, but I’m thinking within a month, feels like the weather is starting to get a bit warmer! Check out the “WEATHER” tab at the top and you can see the websites with the Lake O water temp.
Cheers,
Rob
